The congregation voted on Oct. 25 to call Leah to this position. For the past three years, she has been the Minister of Discipleship at First Baptist Church in Madison and has been very active in the public life of the local community. (You can read more of her biography here.)

Installation service on January 31 at 2 p.m.

We will have a formal installation service for Pastor Leah on Sunday afternoon, January 31, at 2 p.m. This promises to be a wonderful celebration.

Our choir will be singing a special anthem written by composer Ken Medema specifically for a woman entering ministry. Crystal River (that would be Kelly and Donna) will sing a song from the Indigo Girls.

Rev. Debra Dean-Ware, pastor of worship and faith formation at Lake Edge UCC, will preach the sermon. Rev. Robert Mutton, the association minister for the Southwest Association of the UCC, will lead the installation ritual. And, of course, there will treats afterwards.
