Vacation Bible School

Gather under the tree
for Vacation Bible School

July 26-3, 2010

And just what the heck is a Baobab Blast?

Well, a Baobab is a gigantic tree found in Africa that creates its own ecosystem. Baobab trees are one of the world’s oldest life forms. The baobab tree serves as a meeting place for many people to gather, discuss, and share stories.

That was the theme of our Vacation Bible School in 2010. The baobab tree is the central figure—the hub of activity, energy, and life. The baobab tree supports and invites community. All we need are the children to gather around it. You can read more about it at www.thevbsplace.org.

Kelly and Max Jetzer led science exploration. Bobbie Beson-Crone, Kaitlin Young, Michelle Cunningham and Jessica Veloff guidied kids through crafts. Connie Von Der Heide taught great songs. And the scripture verses and movies helped the kids put all of this in the context of God’s unconditional love.
